The growing volume of data and the need for efficient processing to enable process automation, improved communication, and increased efficiency pose major challenges in modern science. In the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence, it is essential to strengthen the scientific research capacity in Montenegro to address challenges related to theoretical development, result interpretation, optimization of approaches, and identification of practical applications.
One of the key goals of the project is to build such capacity, focusing on graph-based data processing and the application of artificial intelligence to complex structured data. Modeling regular data (e.g., signals, multimedia, biomedical data) using graphs opens new possibilities for advanced analysis and processing, better leveraging structural and topological features.
The project aims to develop new techniques for graph signal processing, optimized machine learning methods, and approaches for handling data in irregular domains. It also emphasizes the involvement of young researchers through training, mentorship, and active participation, ensuring sustainability through funding, innovation, and knowledge transfer.
